MS Access database with SharePoint data
As we all know, cloud computing is the new big thing. SharePoint is one of the most popular platforms for cloud computing, providing a cloud- based workspace to minimise infrastructure costs.
Let’s say you have a warehouse and 10 retail outlets. Each retailer will order their respective products to be transported from the warehouse twice a day. With a single inventory source supplying multiple retailers, it will challenging to maintain stock levels.
To overcome this challenge we can use SharePoint online as a backend database. Each retailer will have a frontend application, based on Access forms and reports, linked to the SharePoint backend.
This solution allows every retailer to see live inventory data, while the business owner can check stock, sales and other important performance measures at any time.
